SIMS UTERINE SOUND
NGS® Sims Uterine Sound is used during gynecological procedures to detect whether the uterus is ant everted or retroverted and to examine the height of the fundus of the uterus. The instrument has an overall length of 32 cm which is graduated and has a small handle at one end and a blunt, angle tip at the other. It is available in malleable and rigid varieties according to the preference of the surgeon. During the procedure, the surgeon gently inserts the Sims Uterine Sound through a pre-dilated cervix until she meets resistance to check the direction of the uterus and the extent.
