OCHSNER AURICLE CLAMP

NGS® Ochsner Auricle Clamp is a hand-held finger ring instrument that is used to clamp major vessels with thick and dense walls, like the aorta or its branches. This is important in ultra-major operations like open repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, or procedures like the dissection of saphenous vein grafts for coronary artery bypass procedures. The finger ring handles have a ratchet mechanism to keep the clamp in a secured and self-retained closed position, enabling the operator to perform other manipulations. The jaws arch backwards to accommodate vessels of different sizes, and the terminal ends curve forwards with round blunt edges to prevent inadvertent damage to surrounding tissues.
