NGS® Debakey Morris Aortic Anastomosis Clamp is a hemostatic instrument that is used to clamp major vessels, like the aorta, in cardiothoracic operations involving corrections of aneurysms or dilations. This minimizes the risk of intraoperative bleeding and reduces the need for blood transfusions. The ratchet bars facilitate the gradual opening and closing of the finger ring handles to adjust the blood flow as required. Additionally, the anterior curvature of the blades facilitates proper control over the aortic diameter and allows more access to deep vascular branches. Serrations are added to the inner aspects of the jaws to augment the instrument’s grasp on smooth tissues.
